Happy Valley Park and Ride

Another example of Magnum being sought out to create the unknown was the partnership with local Phoenix artist Mary Lucking on the Happy Valley Park and Ride shade structure. Due to the location of the project and the intended use, a standard shade structure simply would not work. Typical park and rides focus their design to eliminate sunlight when the sun is at its highest point. Because the Happy Valley location was typically going to be used in the early morning and late afternoon hours, when the sun is coming in at a much lower angle, an adjustment had to be made. Enter Mary and Magnum. With Mary’s imaginative design ability and Magnum's high quality precision fabrication they were able to create a series shade panels that allow park and ride patrons to find shade at any hour of the day.
